In a bowl, combine crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, olive oil, and water

Add basil, oregano, sugar, salt

Mince or strain garlic in a garlic press and add to the mixture

Mix well, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside at room temperature to let all the ingredients marinate together
Note
Use immediately after marinating or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days, You can also freeze the sauce for up to 2 months. Simply bring the sauce to room temperature before using.
